As we say at work, "I've maxed out my bandwidth".
I've stated many times before that I've had a lot of things on my plate, and I suppose for a while there I let my blog take over more than it needed to. So without warning I stopped posting, to let myself focus my attention to some other things that needed to get done.
::Changes with the Blog::
My original intention with writing this blog was to give me something to do while I was unemployed a while back. I'm a work-a-holic so being stuck at home with nothing to do drove me mad. I follow a lot of DIY and lifestyle blogs and I suppose a part of me wanted in on that bandwagon.
But truth be told, it's just not me. I don't like posting about random things I find on the internet, or how I painted my nails. I think posting photos of my outfits is silly as most days I get dressed in a hurry and in the dark. But what I do enjoy posting about is my comic book collection, my adventures with Jeremy and my craft and baking hobbies. So from now on, I'm only going to update this blog when I have something of importance to share. No more set-schedule posting.

::What's going on in my life::
My current job is really stretching me thin. I've got more entrees on my plate that I can stomach, so when I get home at night "working" is the last thing on my mind. I'm lucky if I have enough to time to read, catch up on my DVR, play with my cat or heaven forbid, clean my house. I've reached a point in my life where I've just got too much going on and I suppose I should've learned to say "no" sooner than later. Hopefully once I can complete these 2 big projects on my shoulders, I will finally be able to relax.
Jeremy has a lot being added to his plate too, but in a good way! Nothing I can really talk about at the moment, but all amazing things and opportunities for him. I'm so excited to get to share my life with him and partake in the adventures we share not only as a couple, but as best friends.
Jeremy and I went with our Star Trek fan-group to Sci-Fi Expo this weekend. It was our first time as a vendor and what a great learning experience it was. I'm excited to announce that we'll be set up again at Dallas Comic Con in May with special guests, Stan Lee, Adam West, Van Kilmer and Picard himself, Sir Patrick Stewart!! We're so excited to be representing the SFI organization at such a big event here in Texas.
Our wedding is like 85% planned and paid for. There are literally just a handful of things left to do, and only two more vendors to secure. We finally found a rabbi who will marry us and Jeremy rented his Tux. Bridesmaids dresses have been figured out and our official engagement photos will hopefully be taken this weekend, pending the weather. We have to set up a meeting with our baker and a meeting with our florist and then we're done!
Vista Print has been a godsend for the Save-The-Dates. We decided to go with Post Cards and I acted on their "free" promotion, so all I had to do was pay the 3-Day Priority shipping and it came out to just under $25 for 100 post cards. Great deal!! I'll be using them to print my invitations when that time draws closer.
I also learned that the bridal show my mom and I attended last month sold my email information to all of the vendors (100s of them) and so every day I'm getting a ton of emails or phone calls that say "Thanks for your interest in us..." which is driving me a bit crazy, as I know for a fact I didn't give any of my information to photographers, venues or bridal boutiques. Oh well, at least we found an awesome florist who is right by our venue and won't charge us for delivery!
