Doodles & Doctors Visits

Tuesday

Wow, sorry for being a total jerk and not updating my blog. I have to confess, I've been pretty sick lately. Lots of doctors visits these past few weeks and a bit of "house cleaning" in my stress department have brought me to a point where life is becoming manageable again.

I'm usually pretty private about my health. I have a lot of medical problems, most of which I've deal with my entire life. Add some of the more recent problems and it's safe to say I don't feel super awesome. I'm the type of person who will always be smiling and bouncing around, even when I feel my absolute worst. But this past month it finally got to the point where the bouncing stopped and I got some medical help. My doctors assure me that once my body gets used to my new medicine in the next month or so,  I should return back to normal. But until then I just want to apologize for being a complete butt. It's not that I don't care enough to update often. It's that I feel like total crap and blogging is just something I have placed on the side while I recover. I'll continue to update, just not on a regular schedule.

Oh and speaking of illnesses. This Friday, I get my gallbladder removed! woo! My surgeon told me I'm not allowed to eat fatty foods(such as pizza and beer) or spicy foods(pretty much 90% of my daily intake) which sucks. I love flavor! I love spicy! I love food! It's mostly just temporary while my body adjusts. I should be able to eat like my normal self in time for my wedding.

...WHICH IS IN LESS THAN 5 WEEKS! AHHH!!!!!!!!!!

We're been going crazy overload for things.

Also, I got a part-time job! It's nothing special but something to keep me busy and pay the bills. Also, they totally didn't care that I'll be MIA in a few weeks time during my wedding/honeymoon.

Art Dump: ok and finally to make this post totally worth it, here's some art I've drawn lately as gifts for people.

1. // My gal pal Ash! I wanted to draw her something fun and sexy for her birthday. Gosh, I freaking love to draw curves. Like, seriously.
2. // It's my buddy Andrew and I playing Minecraft! I titled it "Dragonslayers" when I gave it to him, as we fought and killed the dragon on our map. Andrew is still a kid, thus why he was drawn a lot shorter.
3. // A quick freebie I drew for someone on Gaiaonline. I love to draw on their art forums and while Livestreaming. It helps me hone in on new styles and draw fast. No one likes to watch a slow doodler.
4. // ELLIE! This is a portrait I did of my little brother's dog. It was his birthday last weekend and this was my present to him. This took me way longer than I would've liked, but I'm proud with the results.

Anywho. I did a few crafts over the weekend and have a few more on the way. :>
So expect a craft post sometime in the near future.

LLAP my friends.

  1. Oh nooo! I'm sorry you're having a rough time. :( Best of luck with the surgery on Friday! Hopefully it's an in-and-out kind of deal with a speedy recovery. (And blogging can totally wait. Your health/sanity = *way* higher priority than the blog.)

Post-surgery would be a good time to hunker down with some box sets of guilty pleasure TV shows... I'm a fan of cop/courtroom dramas, like Law and Order (on Netflix instant watch!) and NYPD Blue (on Amazon Instant video!). Or, like, Cake Boss followed by Ace of Cakes. While eating cake.

And yes, lots and lots of Minecraft.

    I digress... Feel better!

  2. I'm so jealous of your skills! Man... I really wish I could draw like you. Ah, such are the dilemmas of life.

I'm sorry you're not feeling too good! I hope your surgery goes well, and that you are on the road to recovery ASAP!

P.S. I realized I never got your button after you changed up your site - send one over when you can so I can put it up on my page! :)

  3. I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rough go of it, hun. Just think though, in five weeks you'll have the operation and your wedding behind you! Two major stressors over and done with and then you can totally relax a bit.

And gall bladders are assholes, you'll be fine without it. ^_^

Sending good thoughts your way and hoping you feel better! HUGS!!
