Normalcy

Tuesday

For the first time in a long time, my life feels like it is back to normal.

When Jeremy and I first started dating, he was working a graveyard shift (11p-8a). And slowly moved his way to 2nd shift (3P-MIDNIGHT) and eventually having weekends off. But for the first time in the history of our relationship, Jeremy is working a first shift schedule (7a-4p)! In fact, he'll get home almost 3 hours before me every day!! It's so wonderful and I can't tell you all how happy I feel.

For the longest time, I've been feeling really lonely or depressed. And it never really occurred to me that the lack of time I got to spend with my husband was the cause. I'm so grateful to get to spend every day with him now, instead of just before bed, or the weekends.

I'm still getting used to his schedule. Waking up at 5am when I don't have to be at the office until 10am is taking some getting used to. But I think I'll manage.

Heck, I got to watch the news this morning!! It's been ages since I've done that. <3

  2. So happy for you! When Jordan worked weekends and I worked M-F, we had a rough time (there's something weird that happens when you can never casually wake up with your SO, seriously) so he generously readjusted his work schedule so we get Saturdays. It's phenomenal.

I might just have to buy Jeremy an apron as an incentive for him to cook you dinner every night. That's considered an incentive by everyone, right? Because aprons are rad, right?

    Right? D:

  3. @KAYLA - haha right!! Though he definitely has more than enough aprons. He's the proud cook in the household. I'm the baker and dessert maker. :P
