Sometimes I wish time didn't fly by

Monday

1. MST3K Shadow puppets at the DMA Block Party; Texas Politics; Animaniacs on The HUB!
2. Sushi night is becoming a thing at home; My drive to work; Artemis LAN party this past weekend
3. I went through some of my art supplies this weekend and got some drawing in.

A lot has been going on lately. So much so that I am constantly feeling overwhelmed and behind. Our one year anniversary is coming up and we've planned a weekend trip to Austin to celebrate.

We've got a new roleplay group going, based on Artemis Bridge Simulator and I've got a post about that later this week.

I have been going through all my art supplies. As you can see above, it's a decent ammount. And that's only a fraction of what I own. Lord knows how those Prismacolours still have ink. Some of those I bought in 2004! A true testament to their value.

This year has come and gone so quickly. And I suppose that's been making me feel kind of down. Not that I've wasted it but because I haven't been taking the time to enjoy it as much as I should have.

Here's hoping that time will slow down,  just a little bit,
so that I can enjoy the rest of this summer. <3

  1. I posted that same "I stand with Wendy" photo on G+. It was well worth staying up late to watch that. Though I'm guessing it will get passed today in the special session, I hope it goes to the Supreme Court after that. I'm happy that it was all filmed so that everyone could see the lies and bending of rules that was going on just to get her to stop speaking (and lest we not forget how they tried to vote after midnight).

  2. Wow, it's been almost a year already? Pre-congratulations! I hope time slows down a bit so you can enjoy some summertime, too. I just started a new job (FUTURE BLOG POST SPOILER ALERT) that frees up a lot of my time, so I am seriously looking forward to being able to do things like, oh, read a BOOK, have energy to do ANYTHING, you know. That stuff.

Also holy shit that Wendy/Texas filibuster event was crazy. I read about it after the fact because I was in NYC and either working or sleeping, but poo on the media and gold stars for the internet. So thankful for the truth being made undeniably public!!! And so thankful for strong, brave people like Wendy who won't go down without a fight. It's such an important time we're living in!
