A quick update - WOAH CRAZY BUSY

Wednesday

Jeremy and I nerding it up at the Doctor Who party last weekend
Just a quick hello to everyone - I cannot believe all the amazing things that have been happening lately. Just this past weekend along has left me with more than enough stories to share for a while. I've been busy getting ready for my brother's wedding in Phoenix this upcoming weekend, so please excuse my absence this holiday. I'll have more to share when I return.

This last weekend was the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special and I am SOOOOOOOOO OVERWHELMED WITH AMAZEMENT! Moffat really knocked this one out of the park and I don't even know where to begin. I've got a post in line for this next week. I'm letting all you slowpokes catch up before I share, so be prepared for some Whovian fangirling all over this blog next week.

Catching Fire was fantastic! They really hit the nail on the head with this film and I hope they can do the same with the third book (which I hope they break up into two movies so not to miss anything). The first movie fell so short of the first book and really broke my heart with some of the changes. So if you're a fan of the book series, have no fear - you'll enjoy it. :)

And lastly I just wanted to send a quick update to all my lovely penpals - I've got your cards addressed and ready to go. I'm going to drop by the post office later this week to send out the first batch.

Have a great holiday to all my American readers. And a lovely rest of the week and weekend to those of you not observing the Thanksgiving holiday.

  1. I'm going to see Catching Fire this week! To be honest, it was my least favorite book of the 3, but I hear the movie has done a fantastic job bringing it to life so I'm looking forward to it!! Totally agree about Mockingbird being broken up into two movies -- there's so much depth there, especially if you're presenting the events from an omniscient point of view rather than just Katniss's pov. The last book was my favorite. So excited for that one. :)
